About Us

In an unrivalled remote location on the edge of the open moor; 10 minutes’ walk from the neolithic and haunting Scorhill Stone Circle and thirty minutes from Kestor Rock.

Easily accessible, a mere 10 minutes’ drive from the popular Stannary town of Chagford and just up the hill from the renowned Gidleigh Park Hotel.

A perfect base for walking, horse riding, cycling, wild swimming, fishing or simply star gazing. A peaceful sanctuary tucked away in an extraordinary corner of Dartmoor National Park.

For lovers of wilderness, seclusion and dark skies.

Dogs and horses are most welcome.

  • Self catering accommodation, bed and breakfast and/or evening meals cooked with love and nothing but local ingredients of known provenance (although the paprika may come from Spain…!)

  • Livery for your horse in quality, sizeable, rubber matted stabling, individual paddock grazing and guided tours of the moor. Call for details…

  • Dogs are extremely welcome, whether boarding alone or accompanying you during your stay. Our two acre garden is ring fenced for your peace of mind so your pooch can explore in safety.

Dogs are most welcome - endless moorland and woodland walks straight from the front door. Our two acre garden is ring fenced for even the most errant of hounds…

Horses are also encouraged - ride the incredible Dartmoor playground… we can guide you or provide a map with personal directions.

Dinner is available by prior arrangement, locally sourced and home cooked just for you. Personal favourites can be cooked with just a little notice…

Easy access to the excellent amenities offered in the local area, including independent shops and cafes, welcoming pubs, vibrant music and cultural scene and always a friendly welcome!
